Olivia starting to suck her thumb

Its definitely not the conventional method for sucking one's thumb, but she's starting to get the hang of it.

She's sucking her thumb and sporting the rocker symbol with her other hand. That'll be great, she won't be listening to rap then, she'll be a rocker instead.

She can't quite get both hands in there, but she'll give it a good try.

Jazz vs Cavaliers

It was awesome to see Lebron James in person, he's a freak of nature. No one should be that big and that quick and nimble on his feet. Its fun to watch him, but you hate it when he's playing against you. He gets all the calls all night and nothing called against him. It was just bad how bad the Jazz played last night. They're all injured and we had no defense. Hopefully they can regroup in time for the playoffs.

Olivia's Personality

She's so cute. She's moving around a lot in my arms now instead of quietly sitting still as she did before, but she seems to have a little bit of personality coming out now.
I had nothing to do with this, she just started doing this with her own hand as I was holding her.
She seems to be in deep thought.
I bought this onesie right after we found out she was a girl and was impatiently waiting to put it on her all this time. She is so cute in it. She thinks she's big enough to hold her bottle now.

Evan's 5th Birthday

We went to mom's house to celebrate Evan's birthday, we wish Tyler were here to celebrate with his boy, but he's out training in the military. I can't believe Evan is already 5 years old, he's getting so grown up.
This is the awesome shirt I found for him, unfortunately its a little too big, so he has to go exchange it.
The first thing Evan asked me when I walked in the door was, "Did you get me Thomas the Train?" He likes the Thomas the Train stuff better than the shirt I got him, but what are you gonna do?

Olivia gets a little one on one time with mom and dad

Mom finally finds some time to get some sleep as Olivia's last meal puts her to sleep.

Mom puts on her model stare as she holds her baby.

Mom sure loves her little Olivia. As if she didn't get enough love from her mommy, here comes dad.

Life is so hard for the little one.

Olivia photo shoot

She's only the cutest baby ever to grace the planet.
Dad likes to play with her when she's hungry. She'll pretty much start eating anything she gets her mouth on.
I don't know how we got so lucky to actually get a picture of her sucking on her thumb, usually she sucks on the whole fist.

Olivia yawns and then hiccups

So what if dad talks to his baby in a baby voice, it's normal. Besides, it's the cutest video ever!!! It came off of my phone, so its a bit choppy.

Olivia's first bath

Auntie Tina was honored to give baby Olivia her very first bath. Luckily her umbelical cord had already fallen off a couple of days ago after only about 4 days, so she got the experience of the full immersion bath. She didn't like the bath very much though...poor little thing.

Sweet Little Olivia

Talin's water broke at 11:3o pm on New Years day. She delivered our precious Olivia at 2:23 am Friday morning. The delivery was quick, but what happened after ended up being so much longer. She gave us a bit of a scare when she had issues breathing when she came out. She didn't adjust well to the outside air and her body wanted to go back into the womb. She would breathe fine on her own, but when she ate or got upset, she would begin to turn blue when she didn't breathe properly. She ended up staying in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit for 5 days. We had to stay upstairs on the 2nd floor and leave her two floors down. It was a rough period, especially for Mom, she didn't want to stay away from her little baby. She finally was able to adjust and her oxygen levels stayed up even when she would cry or eat, so the doctors said she was ok to come home. We finally came home Tuesday night, nearly 5 days after she was born. Both Mom and Dad are very happy to have our sweet girl home with us.

E' nata la bambina Olivia

She finally came. At 2:23 am Friday January 2, 2009, Olivia Verona Anderson was born. The middle name is that of her late great grandmother, my grandmother, she was a great woman. Talin's water broke at 11:30 pm late Thursday night, and was in labor for 3 hours before our little beauty came to join us. We're so happy to have her here with us finally.
We'll have more pictures very soon with an update on her health.
